11 plus preparation groups

Supporting Children for the Newport Grammar School Examinations

In these classes, run in small groups on Saturdays, we help prepare children for the Newport Girls’ High School and Haberdashers’ Adams entrance exams, which children sit towards the beginning of Year 6.

 

Classes focus on the key skills required – non-verbal reasoning, verbal reasoning, English comprehension and maths.  Our classes are for year 4 and 5 children, who are planning to sit the relevant examination when they are in year 6.

 

Venue -Edgmond Village Hall 14 and 16 Shrewsbury Rd, Edgmond, Newport TF10 8HU

Autumn Term Sessions – Saturday Mornings

Year 5: 9am-11am

23rd September – 28th October Cost £220 including course books (12 hours).

 

Year 4: 11:30am-1:30pm

Venue – Edgmond Village Hall,  14 and 16 Shrewsbury Rd, Edgmond, Newport TF10 8H

23rd September – 28th October Cost £200 including course books (12 hours).

Because of the level of the material covered, we require children to have a good level of competence in numeracy, literacy and reading.

We will cover topics up to 2 school years above the current Year Group of the children to ensure they are confident and well prepared for the examinations.  

As with all our classes, sessions are delivered in a fun and engaging way designed to ensure that every child leaves with a true sense of achievement and progress.

All course books are supplied and included in the cost of the course.
